Meet the Artist
Scott Philip Goergens
A Baltimore-based artist, author, and filmmaker. After living in San Francisco, Boston, the Outer Banks, and Norfolk, Scott returned to Baltimore, where he completed his first painting series and held his first public show in 2001.
His art explores themes of energy, struggle, growth, and transformation, often challenging the familiar to reveal new perspectives.
Scott is the author of You Are Now Leaving Torporville (Vantage Press, 2004) and the award-winning filmmaker of 29 Needles, named "Best of the Festival" at the 2019 Nightmares Film Festival.
From 2010 to 2017, Scott worked as a casting associate for Emmy-winning director Pat Moran, CSA, contributing to acclaimed productions such as VEEP and Game Change.
